Veterans of Jackson County Quilt Project
Cheri Pickett, Chairperson of the Quilts for Jackson Area Veterans Project, presented this beautiful quilt to Paul Prater on Veterans Day, November 11, 2020. There is a huge smile and a very large expression of surprise and appreciation under Paul’s face mask.
The PPQG Board presented Chelsea Melin. Events Coordinator at Ella Sharp Museum , with a quilt and booster pillow to show the Guild’s appreciation for her consistent help and positive support in helping with Guild activities. She was very delighted and very pleased. Thanks to all of the Board members who took the time to make these blocks. Chris Carothers for putting it together with great presentation and Linda Mumby for the excellent Quilting.
Raffle Quilt Drawing May 17, 2020
Congratulations to Darlene Johnson, of Adrian, for winning the “Shakespeare in the Park” quilt. Nancy Miller from Adrian, won the “Here Fishy, Fishy” quilt. Thanks to Julie Lisle who sold the winning tickets. Special thanks to Cheryl Navarre, Quilt Show Chairperson, and Aggie Straub, Raffle Ticket Chairperson, for all their work in making the raffle happen under very trying conditions.

School Bell Quilt In on March 17, 2018
A group of Pieces and Patches Quilt Guild members met at Country Stitches for the School Bell Quilt In to learn some new techniques, share project ideas and to celebrate the National Quilt Day. Special thanks to Elizabeth Hewett, Marj Hobe, Connie Kress and Cheri Pickett for sharing their time, expertise and skills to show the group how to color quilt blocks, make silk ribbon roses and learn new ways to make bias binding.
