2024 Raffle Quilts
Kudos and a huge THANK YOU to all the Guild members and their families who helped to make our October Quilt Show our best show yet. All of these people, despite having one year to plan instead of two; despite moving to a brand new out of town venue, despite having many new, inexperienced but very committed Quilt Show Committee Chairpersons, and despite much worry and concern about whether people would be willing to drive to Stockbridge, we had an excellent, wonderful exhilarating, suburb quilt show! A quilt show we should be very proud of!!!!!
People came from as far Sylvania, Ohio, Detroit, Flint, Battle Creek, Ionia and beyond. Our worries of pour attendance were unwarranted. I wish we could have recorded the many, many compliments we received about our show.
Special thank yous go to all of you who worked for many months prior to the actual Quilt Show doing marketing and advertising; contacting vendors; organizing our amazing general store; planning for the feeding of over 600 people at our Fat Quarter Café; selling raffle tickets; making barn quilts and wool mittens; donating items to our silent auction; doing the designing and setup/take down of the quilt racks for over 200 quilts; organizing the drop off, hanging and take down of all those beautiful quilts; doing the demonstrations and so much more. It took many dedicated volunteers to make all of the parts of our quilt show work so smoothly. Thank you to each Guild member who stepped up and volunteered. As a result, you helped our Guild to be a more cohesive, supportive, friendly, productive and financially strong Guild.
THANK YOU
